IP is no longer just a legal concept—it has become a vital asset driving national economies and industries. In an era where creativity and innovation define competitiveness, we, as IP lawyers, play a crucial role in protecting and advancing intellectual property.
Our association is a professional organization of 971 IP lawyers, dedicated to supporting industrial and technological advancement through legal expertise. We have continuously worked to improve IP systems, safeguard the rights of our members, and uphold our social responsibilities. Moving forward, we will remain committed to adapting to the evolving landscape, advocating for better IP policies, and ensuring that our association continues to serve as a pillar of support for the IP community.
In particular, as a professional body of IP lawyers, we have acted as a bridge between the judiciary and legal practitioners in IP litigation. We actively contribute to the study of IP case law, propose improvements to the legal framework, and collaborate closely with the courts to resolve practical issues. Through these efforts, we aim to enhance the recognition of IP lawyers’ contributions and promote fair and reasonable rulings in IP disputes.
We are also dedicated to enhancing the rights and professional standing of our members. By reinforcing expertise in IP litigation and advisory services, we strive to ensure the stability and recognition of our profession. To this end, we will enhance educational and research initiatives, expand our association’s influence, and provide the necessary support for our members to take pride in their roles as IP lawyers.
The rapid advancement of digital technology and the expansion of global markets have further highlighted the importance of intellectual property. As new technologies, including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, AI, and the data economy emerge at an unprecedented pace, IP protection must also evolve. We must proactively adapt to these changes, support innovation by businesses and creators, and pave the way for the establishment of a fair and rational competitive order.
My leadership team and I will remain committed to heeding our members, strengthening the role of IP lawyers, and advancing the association’s mission. We encourage all members to stay engaged and actively participate in our initiatives.
